What causes underarm fat

Before you read more about how to reduce underarm fat you need to have a clear idea of what causes underarm fat in the first place. Understanding what causes underarm fat will help you avoid those things that cause underarm fat.

In most cases, women get underarm fat more than men. It’s because naturally women’s body store more fat than men do. And the normal body fat percentage of women is also higher than that of men.

The normal body fat percentage of men is less than 24% and for women, the normal body fat percentage is less than 31%.

With age, women start to store more body fat because with age women’s bodies produce fewer amounts of testosterone and also the metabolism rate starts to slow down.

In the early, and late 20s both men and women have normal metabolic rates so when you eat fast food at this age your body will be able to burn those calories.

But when you have a slow metabolism rate as you age, your body can’t burn those extra calories if you eat fast food in large amounts. Along with slow metabolism and eating unhealthy food, living a sedentary lifestyle can cause you to gain underarm fat.
