Things you should and should not do if you want to do pushups before bed

pushups before bed

When you want to do pushups before bed there are a few things you need to know. In this section, you will read about the best practices of doing pushups at night.

The first thing you need to make sure of before doing pushups after dinner is to wait for some time before you do pushups. After dinner, you should give your body enough time to settle the food in your stomach before you proceed to do pushups. You should not hurry to do pushups after eating your dinner. You should wait roughly 2 hours to do pushups after you have eaten your dinner.

If you don’t want to wait for 2 hours then you should do pushups before dinner.

The second thing you need to make sure of is you are not going to sleep immediately after you completed doing pushups at the night. You should wait at least 10-15 minutes after doing pushups then you can go to sleep.

Can pushups before bed hinder your night’s sleep?

It’s a fact that exercising vigorously just before sleeping can hinder your sleep. Because when you exercise your heart rate goes up so after exercising you may find it hard to fall asleep. That’s why it’s not recommended to do exercises like running, weight lifting and any high-intensity workout right before bed.

As for the pushups, it won’t affect that much if you do pushups a few minutes before bed. As I have mentioned earlier after doing pushups at night you should go to bed after 10-15 minutes.

If you do this then you can do pushups before bed without any problem.

But you should avoid exercising for more than 10 minutes if you want to sleep afterwards.

So, adjust your bedtime pushup workout in such a way that it can be completed within 10 minutes.

Now, if you are wondering how many pushups to do before bed then read on.
